We are more than resistance —
we are irresistible

We celebrate the many traditions of movement leaders, cultural workers, and spiritual teachers who remind us to embody the liberation we are pursuing. Listen to Becoming Irresistible to learn about the many rivers that led us to this vision.

Together, we’re building movements for justice that are expansive, vibrant, and fully alive.

The need runs deep

Our lives depend on our ability to make urgent, dramatic, liberatory change in our society. But many models of activist culture deplete us and replicate patterns of trauma, harm, oppression, and workaholism. We’ve lost too many of our visionary leaders to exhaustion, depression, and under-supported conflict.

We are the strategy

“People power” means that we are our own most precious resource. We cannot afford to burn ourselves and each other out. If we want to welcome enough people to our movements to really transform our world, we have to make the experience of participating sustainable, healing, and irresistible.

Let’s transform movement culture

We are a community supporting each other to make joyful lifelong commitments to social justice work. We learn from many lineages, and connect and visibilize stories, strategies, & practices that fortify our movements for change.

Welcome to the resilience archives

Founded by organizer Kate Werning in the bedroom of her collective house in 2017, this project shared conversations & accompanying practices from over 100 social movement leaders, and was made possible by dozens of incredible volunteers and collaborators.

In our 3 years of active operation, the podcast surpassed 1.5 million downloads - which is a powerful testament to the hunger & need for this kind of work worldwide.

This archive is the largest catalog of publicly accessible wisdom & practices around healing in social justice work today. We hope the library of conversations, practices, additional resources and transcripts will be a powerful support for you and your people to lean on.

Book Club 📚

A global community of learning gathered here for collective readings in social justice & healing from 2019-2020. You hosted your own gatherings locally & virtually, started practice groups, met up to read on blankets by the river, and joined authors for live discussions. Your joy & commitment in study and practice was a beautiful force.

Now that Book Club has sunset, we share all resources from past selections here for the benefit of the public. We bow in deep gratitude to the authors and to each of you for moving this transformative knowledge.
